Our Mission

Our mission is to lead Canadian independent bicycle retailers, with the support of our supplier members, toward strength and excellence through focused advocacy, constructive communications and partnerships, and practical education and training programs. Our conviction is that together, as a critical mass moving in the same direction, we will accomplish our shared goals, and make our voice heard. Together, we will empower Canadian IBDs to overcome challenges, manage growth and transformation, and see their businesses thrive.

What's New

CIBRA Advocacy : We recently sent a letter to the Minister of Transport Lisa Raitt, on Canada Post’s role in delivering untaxed goods to Canadian consumers–bypassing Canadian small businesses. “Minister, we are seeing small businesses in Canada getting decimated by competition from vendors in the US and online suppliers who are able to avoid paying taxes and tariffs on products shipped to Canada.” Read the full letter here.

CIBRA Committees

We’re looking for volunteers to join CIBRA committees! Are you interested in helping to steer CIBRA’s government relations on behalf of Canada’s bicycle retailers? Would you like to lend a hand in exploring and developing mechanic training standards and certification in Canada? Are you a retailer or supplier and would like to play a role in future CIBRA events? We’re looking for passionate individuals who want to pitch in and improve the value CIBRA is able to deliver its membership– if you are one of these leaders among us, we want to hear from you!
